Square Grid Games

This is one of my early attempts, a few years ago, at going for squares on the tabletop. In this example, the figures are 6mm Bacchus and the squares are 4". The board I was using was a common 3' x 2', so this would yield a square grid of 9 x 6.

I can't even remember why it didn't seem to work for me, but I gave up on the project quite early and instead started to explore hexes.

However, with the recent release of the Perry's TravelBattle, a micro game played on a 20 x 10 grid, my interest and enthusiasm for the square grid has somewhat returned. This page has been started as a place to record thoughts and games on the square grid.

I have just picked up the new release from Perry Miniatures called TravelBattle. This is a small format game, putting 8mm figures onto a board that has been gridded out in one inch segments.

There is a full article introducing this game on the blog  - LINK http://battlefieldswarriors.blogspot.co.uk/2017/04/travelbattle-by-perry-miniatures.html

As I put the game together and play the first few actions I will record the journey on this page.
